   Monday, Mar 16, 2009 Space Shuttle Discovery, tampa The neighbors and I gathered in our front street last night to watch the final mission of the Space Shuttle Discovery. We looked to the east and about one minute after liftoff we saw the glow of the rocket fire as the shuttle lifted into space. This is probably the 6th time I have seen a shuttle takeoff from here in Tampa and it is always cool. In the second photo the rocket boosters are just about to break away (which we could see btw). |
